i've not seen one of these until today(well i say seen i just saw the label and had to leave as the youngest was moaning!) how common are they and how much would you expect to pay for a mid 09 hatchling?
cheers |

As far as I'm aware, these are still very rare and hence very expensive. For a snake that looks too close to normal to be worth the extra money (imo). |

strange that they "have " one then. as i said i didn't actually see the snake just the label on the tub.....if i'm passing i'll investigate more and ask where its from. i was just curious as it was a morph i'd not seen sold before. the pic on IV looks like an anery so the shop might be trying to pull a fast one lol |

wow, thats a really stunning snake! it's almost a shame it'll look progressivly more like a normal. i like the chestnut and silver stage. there isn't a morph with those colours is there? |

the nearest you'd get to that would be a really good example of miami.
i think kastanie is going to be one of those morphs that will be more popular in combinations, although i'd hardly call it 'normal' looking :D i've seen a photo of a 'suspected' lavender kastanie hatchling and it looks awesome, definetly one to keep an eye on :) |

i guess "normal" isn't really doing it justice(not that theres anything wrong with "normal" lol) i'm still a little intrigued by it tbh whats a fair price for an 09 in your opinion. planning on doing some breeding in 3 years when the boys start full time school. starting to plan my stock. any advice on morphs to look out for. i have a female type A anery who'll be ready in 3yrs and and male and female amel which are ready to start now but i'm going to make stack etc before i start them so planning long term really. looking to pick up another half dozen over the next year or so. whats your hot tips lol :) |

it all depends on what you mean by 'hot tips'. If you mean whats the next big thing then you'll be looking at spending thousands on breeding stock for the latest greatest morph combinations
For a good starting point, I'd recommend looking through the morph guides and find something you like the look of and take it from there. Morphs that include stripe or diffused are still doing well, and sunkissed and lava combinations are becoming more readily available too. |

i asked where they got them from and they said they bred them themselves. its the cardiff reptile center, i get my mice from there so go in fairly regularly and have a look at the corns and to my knowledge they've never mis represented a morph. snows are snow etc others hets labeled and are in good health and at fair prices. chat to the senior staff and seem to know what they are talking about. we'll see what it develops into and have our answer :) |
