The black & white thingy is a strong bar for the snake to climb the tape will be coming off when I fix it properly to make it stronger & going to hide the tubes with more plants across the back the reason is in the viv she in she seem to climb a lot when she not trying to bite me lol.
you need to take it out altogether and only put it back once theres no tape on it - tape is evil stuff to snakes and can cause quite severe injuries if it gets stuck on them
All the tape is gone and the snake my daughter called boo because she keep coming from nowhere & tries to strike at my hand she is happy in her now home she feeding just waiting for the first shed she seems to like the tubes she stays in the one on the side the blue & green one above the pot
I been told she about 3 years old but I think she maybe younger she 4 feet long and the viv is a old rabbit hatch I had about 4ft . She seem to be better in there as when I put my hand in to change the water she not striking out just watches every move I make going to take time but one day we will be able to pick her up but I give her all the time she needs to get use to me.
shes probably a bit older than 3 then if shes 4 foot, maybe 3.5-4 years old glad you got that tape out - il be honest and admit that i didnt even notice it!
patience is all you need..and confidence.. if you act shy or nervous when you go in the viv she will pick up on it and react to put you off going near her.. once she realises you are no threat to her she will calm down
