I have never even heard of 'Sandfish' before Figs, and they certainly are stunning skinks. I also love the colour within their viv...the purple substrate and blue plants. Is the 4th pic a Christmas card photo , with a bauble and tinsel??!

The 3rd pic is my favourite, even though Merry (or Pippin)'s head is missing!!

Pippin is really shy, except every morning he (or she?) gets up and scratches on the glass until i turn the light on!

the berber skinks get much bigger than the sandfish
i like the fishies better though - they have smiley faces :D

and dinner83: they are actually the easiest pets i've ever kept!
they dont *need* and decorations or anything in the tank to climb on, they only grow about 6 or 7 inches long and they'll happily live off crickets - they dont drink water either since they get it from the bugs
There are only a few care sheets out there on them, all with different info, so i put this together:

Hopefully it'll help people a little...

They're so cool! Saw one in my local store and they bury so so fast! It's remarkable, one sec your watching one, the next it's gone in a slither - so cooL!

aww look how popular the skinkies are!
they usually come up above the sand in the morning when i turn the light on... and when theres waxworms
otherwise they'll just be cricket legs, poop, and shed skin that erupts every now and then! :)

You can see how well built they are for literally swimming in the sand.
The sharply pointed and low snout is perfect for carving through sand.

Am with Kehhlyr on this, you can see in that last pic how perfectly they are created to shovel through the sand....instead of being aerodynamic they are sand-dynamic!
