Well, I'v finally got Alice's new viv all up and running. Just leaving it to run for a 24 hours now to make sure all is ok with the temps before Alice can go in it tomorrow night. Take a look - any advice welcome, I'm not sure if it's too busy.
His faun first for comparison
His new home
And just because it is cute, here is one of Alice eating his second mouse last night bum first

Very nice. Plenty for snakie to explore in there. Not sure if its required but maybe a second unobstructed vent on other side of backboard. |

I was thinking i might have to switch the decoration round to clear the vents a bit. The greenery isn't really blocking the vents but they could probably do with a bit more breathing room

Cool Viv for a minute I thought the first picture was the new viv MUST READ CAREFULLY I tell myself.
I don't think it looks to busy a tall. Alice will like all the hides and cover.

Just a suggestion really. Khan's viv is same size and has two vents. Im thinking of putting two more in as when the house is warm (ie 22C room temp) the viv reads 24C in the cool end. Warm end reads between 27.2C-29C. However my viv is boxed in at either end (wall one side, storage the other) so this maybe keeping the viv over insulated.
Oh wait just spotted the second vent on the cool side. Near the base of the viv. Be intresting to know if this works better than having it high up in the viv. |

Think you have done a great job....well done. Definitely not too busy and I am sure Alice will love it. Only problem you may have is finding her to get her out!
