I asked my dad to purchase 3 pinks and 5 fuzzes from our local store (I know not ideal, but I really needed them) and to my horror, I've ended up with 15 small pinkies
She REALLY needs to be feeding on large pinks but I can feed her two pinkies for another couple of weeks, then it's almost compulsory that she moves up, otherwise she's going to start loosing weight. But what can I do with the spare 10? I can't send them to anyone who needs them as they will defrost but I can't just keep them in my freezer can I? How long do they keep for?
I mean I can go out and get fuzzies no problem, but I'm just worried about the extra mice I've got already. Thanks guys, any help appriciated! |

Other than taking them back to the shop, and im not sure wether they will take them, i guess you could just keep them untill you get your snow corn later this year. I read on another thread that they keep ok for around a year. |

Tbh I wouldn't think she will start losing weight, it won't be that dramatic.
Either keep em in the freezer as Danny said, or get rid of them, seems a waste but I'm sure the animals in the garden will appreciate them at this time of year. |

Yep i'm sure a bird or something would snap them up. |

she wont start loosing weight if you keep her on pinkies for a bit longer than you want to.. theres nothing saying though that she has to be on fuzzies by a certain date though..i kept edison on pinkies longer than i wanted to as i had quite a few spare but it didnt do him any harm |

Thanks guys, and no the shop won't take them back because we might have done something to them... I'll keep them for now and I'll keep Dimi on pinkies if I have to. |

What if you kept them and fed one fuzzy and one or two pinks at a feed? In the wild they don't always have the same size prey...Change them out sometime.quote: Originally posted by Lilpunk

I wouldnt recommend feeding one fuzzy and 2 pinks, though just one would be ok as long as its not too big a meal for her. |
