Fed the big lad as usual last night. Placed his mouse on a large piece of bark in his viv as normal. He appeared and sniffed about so I left him to it. Next thing I heard a thump from his viv and when I turned round, he had struck violently at the dead mouse and was coiled tightly around it. Never seen him do this before. Has anyone else had this experience or any reasons for it?
I agree its totally natural allbeit unusual for your big lad, I must admit mine doesn't if she isn't tong fed either. Perhaps she was a bit hungrier and impatient!? haha. Seriously though perhaps it was something scientific i.e. through defrosting, the mouse was warmer than usual maybe? Then your snake senced it therefore did what he know best?
