Right- They first mated about 2 weeks ago, have been mated about 5 times since then. She definitely is fatter now than she was before hence why I weighed her.

I believe that Mushu will undergo a pre lay shed, and then eggs will appear within 2 weeks. So maybe another 2 weeks until the shed and then another 2 till lay?

Like I said, I'm no expert!

they're gravid for about 4-6 weeks so yes, expect a pre-lay shed around 3-5 weeks, when she's shed get a laying box in for her so she can get accustomed to it and hopefully realise it's a good idea to lay there than anywhere else in the viv!

you can as the eggs get more developed inside the female, and when the eggs get so big she won't want to eat as there's basically no room and it's really uncomfy for her to get a mouse down..........how's your female doing YD?

she's good.... seperated them now by putting Syd in his own viv. They've had quite a few 'sessions' now. Put them together for a last fumble tonight but I think she's had enough coz she turned and struck at him...... daft snake bit herself first so I got him out sharpish. Not putting them back together now, just going to keep an eye on her and hopefully see some signs of eggs.

yeah best off keeping them separate then!

give it 2 weeks and then have a feel of her as she moves through your hand, if she feels lumpy, regularly spaced lumps, it's likely!

Right, Mushu has now gone into shed, and is spending all her time in her nest box.

Weight last week was 551g, and she is deffo looking lumpy and fat!

Fingers crossed for her! Incubator getting sorted this week.

Fantastic news SB, sounds as though Mushu (and you) are doing everything right - not that I know anything about breeding !
