Thanks for the comments
As I am writing this post I am totally stunned, puzzled, happy err anything else! No I dont think so! I have just watched Montana shed for the first time with was amazing.
Now for the puzzle looking at the photos I took on the other thread and these on this thread were took yesterday eveing does it look to any of you that he is in shed mode because I can not see any evidence to say otherwise? Thanks Rich. |

congrats on seeing him shed so quickly into owning him - some owners never get to see their snake shed at all so nice one
with libs i have to really pay attention to her eyes to see if shes going to shed - because they have greyish eyes the change in colour when they cloud over isnt always obvious.. he probably went 'blue' just as you got him so you wouldnt necessarily have noticed that he was getting ready to shed.. eventually you will notice the colour change.. i missed my lav stripe go blue and didnt realise he had shed until i noticed a new shade of peach on his neck.. |

Hi Hannah the thing is though his eyes are pinky stroke red. Also I was handling him before his feed and his eyes looked so clear?
What I will do is have another look at him in 2 days after his food has digested. |

Those are some great pics Rich and Montana is looking lovely. It is always good seeing the little ones eating and he definitely likes his food if that was his 2nd fuzz! Think the last pic is definitely my favourite.
As HannahB has said it is very hard to tell with amels (*hides in case of use of wrong term*) as they dont go as noticeably blue as anerys do...especially those with red eyes. It probably was that Montana went blue when he was in the hands-off period so you didnt see it coming.
But to actually see him shed with his first shed with you....I am not surprised you cannot find the right word to describe how you feel!!
I am so glad everything is going so well for both you and Montana!

amazing feeding shots especially the last one!
i personally never have any problems knoticing my corn is in shed, she has red eyes and she proper clouds over, cant mistake it lol
if you cannot tell by his eyes at the moment, you will soon learn his signs from body colour etc |
