just set up one of the viv's in my new stack and the micro-climate mat stat isnt working gonna take it back tomorrow does anyone have an opinion on which is the best stat to use on mat's...? price not a problem just want something that's gonna work....?
The Habi-stat seem to do a good job for me I have a 600 watt. I set it to 30 and it hovers around 29.5 to 30 which I think is good. Also if you have many more heat mats running it can handle them very easy as most mats are around 10-13 watts. Most Reptile shops stock them as well.
for a cheap on/off stat i can't recommend Aquarline ones highly enough! they're VERY accurate, not the usual 2-3*C either side of what you've set it at

At some point soon, I'm gonna try one of those digi aquarium stats from china that they have on ebay. Either THIS because it also has the cooling function so could be good in the summer.
