We might have to have a play around with him and some scales see if we can get a rough reading, lol.

I have a shoe box with air holes punched in it. I put it on digital scales, zero it, place Kellog in it and replace lid....then have his weight. His is bigger than your Ossie so should work fine.

Woah :/ Bella is just 10mnths old and only 19grams!!! She was 17g when we got her two months ago :/ we've only been feeding her one pinkie because she was so small, i've now seen a chart kellog thankfully posted on another thread (struggling to find it) and can clearly see by that, that we should be feeding her two pinkies and getting her weight up! The store was only feeding her one, so, again, it shows that you don't listen to stores, no matter how good they seem to be! Listen to peeps on here.
Bella will be ok won't she? She seems healthy enough, just small for 10mnths!?

yes bella will be fine
just take it gentle with increasing her food sizes.. over feeding her too much too soon could cause her more harm than good.. also please dont follow the feeding guide religiously.. according to the guide some of mine should be on small mice but they just arent ready yet, you know your snake better than anyone else on here so go with what you know Bella will be ok with

I echo what HannahB has said Jonathan. Whenever I do put up the guide I always make a point of saying that it is a rough guide and it is really only there to give you some idea of what to expect....but, as we have all discovered, no corn snake is 'textbook' and therefore no corn snake will fit exactly into that guide.

You are much better going by what you feel is best for Bella. As long as you can still see a bump when she feeds then she is fine on what she is eating....if you cant then it is time to move her to 2 pinkies.

And, again as HannahB has said, you mustnt rush her with feeding because you are worried about her size and weight. All corns grow at different rates, hatchlings from the same clutch being fed exactly the same may be totally different sizes, it is not something to worry about. As long as she is feeding well and you gently progress with the feeding then she will be fine!

It's hard to tell how old a corn is from their size Glyn - even if we did know her weight All corns mature different, for example my corn Dimika is about 24 inches and weighs 36g and she's nearly a year old x) Whereas someone else may have an 8 month old who weighs in at 45g and is 26" - more than Dimika even though she's older.

It might be worth asking the place you bought her from if they know how old she is - although unless you want to breed her in future it really isn't THAT big of a problem Good luck! And she looks loverly from your sig piccie Remember to post some pictures of her!

Thanks Hannah & Kellog, appreciate that. Puts my mind at ease :)
Well, we fed her two pinkies last night and she wolfed them down no problem. So will do the same next feeding and so on until we feel she is ready to move up, when she is ready :D
Thanks again folks, and its so interesting to see how different their sizes and weights can be, as you mentioned, by reading everyones snakes weights!
