My oldest corn snake is 5 and im thinking of changing him to repti carpet hes been on bark all his life and I think that as hes very messy overall would it be ok to change him to repticarpet or will he become very depressed that his substrate has changed, thanks alot,

Luke.

I personally wouldn't use it for my corns as they love burrowing through the aspen.

thats y asked do his like to bury themselves. if they did then repticarpet would not be very good because if you had the heat mat under that and they got underneath the carpet they might burn themselves.

im the same as yorkshire dan, i much prefer aspen becasue i always wake up and look in fluffys viv and its got burrowing holes all over the place. :) and when he is burrowing, it seems like hes got a nother place for him to feel secure.

Ah yes thank you everyone, He loves to burrow all the time hes very burrow crazy I think Ill stil change his substrate to aspen which ive got spare for my ball python instead of bark as alot of the time its hard for the snake to burrow he tries to put his head in but alot of the time cant, also aspen will soak up spills and smeel easier so overall better than bark thanks alot,
Luke.

Also one more thing ive got a vivarium for my leopard geckos which measures 36"x 18.5" and the repti carpet measurements are only the closest which is 36"x15" does that mean the carpet wont be wide enough or it will because the internal measurement is smaller?
Thanks Luke.
