Gorgeous snake and cool name, Untu looks very similar to our new Corn, Bella - I love the contrasting colours :)

Corn Snake - Bella. Bearded Dragon - Draco. Leopard Gecko - Mojo. Cat - Neo. In our family we also have: Cali King Snake, Spiny Flower Mantis (RIP), African Lined Mantis (RIP), Ghost Mantis (RIP), four Hermit Crabs, a Budgy and a Dog - Mystie... oh and a YAMAHA YZF-R1 but she's feeling a bit neglected at the moment :(

Those are all fantastic pics of a beautifully coloured snake. Love the way Untu pokes her head out from under her coil. The pic Eeji picked out is also great, so hard to get a good tongue shoot and you got him well placed to get a well formed pic...a model photo shoot!

Am assuming Untu is a Finnish word - what does it mean?

xxx

Why I have to always press backspace when I have first accidentally clicked outside of the textbox? I hate laptops.. Well, another try.

Figs, I think she's around 50 centimetres. I have not measure her yet, because she was moulting few days ago. And I have not yet handling her, because she has some eating problems, so I try not cause her unnecessary stress before I have find out what for she won't eat mice that I have bought from pet shop.
I bought a heatmat, hoping that non-eating is caused too low temperature in the terrarium. (btw, what's the way you call the terrarium, probably a glass box where you keep your snake?)
Tomorrow or today - depending that have I time today - I will feed and measure her, and I will clean the terrarium.

She's active and lively and also she drinks as same as normal, so I don't think she's sick or anything. But I will still worry.

Back to the topic..

Kellog, Untu has no meaning, but the closest word it could be assimilate is Finnish word "untuva" which means feather. But bare Untu doesn't mean anything in Finnish. And that name just came on my head when I was got her. I think first I would call her "Rama", but then I heard that she's possibly female, so I decided she would be then "Sita". Both names are gods on Hinduism. :D
But now I could not think that she has any other name.
