Maybe just me but I cant see a stat cable or thermometers?
Agree with above 2, the more packed out the more secure the snake will feel. Deffo a hide for the other end as a bare minimum. |

I would use a much smaller hide, and many more of them. Scrunched up newspaper is good at filling any large gaps that may make the snake nervous. |

thanks guys. Gonna invest in a smaller hide+a fake plant at the weekend once ive been paid. Will have a look at logs aswell! By stat cable' do u mean thermostat cable? the heat mat is plugged into my thermostat which is on another shelf to the left of the viv...u can just see the thermostat sensor to the back left of the viv (thats where i got told to put it) Also, i didnt think i needed a thermometer? The guy in the shop said they're more useful in bigger vivs! (the 3 foot long ones etc) |

What?!?! You definitely need a thermometer, stat dials arent accurate at all, no way of knowing what the correct temp is. |

those thermometers are brill..all of mine have them in if u want, put some paper shreddings in on top of the substrate thats already there or just in the hides - it gives them more places to hide |

Yep, that sounds good. And if temps arent right, just adjust the stat. |

How big is that Faunarium mate?
Do you mind me asking where you got it from?
I was going to get the Exo-Terra Large Flat Faun tomorrow for my corn. But that one of yours looks really cool.
Thanks

I thought that was the Exo Terrra one, this is what I have. Tina, here is a pic of my Elijah's enclosure, I was worried about lack of cover etc, so I threw some decor in there consisting of a Exo Terra Boston Fern, an E.T. Silk vine for along the back wall. A Small snake cave for the cool end and a standard hide for the warm end.
My themometers for my snake and Leopard Gecko are the Exo Terra digital ones, but I find these to be a few degrees out, so the next ones I will be getting are the ones that SB has got, will be getting them from 888reptiles.co.uk though.
Gaz, those dimensions given are correct, but advertised as 12" not 11", but that takes into acount the slopy sides. |
