i am looking in geting a new back board for my viv i saw this one on diy but because off the humid would it rot ??

i wouldnt bother,its very absorbant.Just get a off cut of conti board from b&q

ok i am geting the conti board as thats cheaper lol what would you say is the best way to feed cable in to the vivarium ??

You cannot use MDF in snake vivs unless it is treated/covered because it is very toxic

just drill a hole through the back and take the plug off the mat and feed it through

It's made of wood dust, which is compacted and glued together. it's the glue dust that's toxic given off when the wood is cut, it can form cancer if inhaled.

I'd advise against it, if you cut holes in MDF make sure you fully ventilate the area and give it a few days to stand in again a well ventaliated area.

I'm not sure if you can get aquarium sealant from Bn'Q.
