I dont have the snake yet as i wanted everything set up right b4 i get it, the vivarium is glass and has a faunarium inside it ready for the snake, i was advised by the shop to have the mat stat set between 84 and 88, ive got digital thermometers and read the dial ones were next to useless, the hot end under the hide is reading 36.5oc and the cold end under the hide 16.8oc how do i get it to the right temperatures? more how do i get the cold end warmer?

The dials on mat stats aren't accurate, use the stat with the readouts from the thermometers to fiddle about with the dial until the temps are right, it can take some work but you will get there in the end.
