Heya and welcome .

Answer to number one is probably dependant on how fast it grows , which depends on other things , all snakes are different . Younger corns I read that 6 weeks or so is average . Older ones may tend to slow down the bigger they get .

Tried feeding him on monday is not a lot of information , you will have to give more details than that :) like .

How long have you had him ?
Temps ?
Did you let him settle for a week ?
when was he last fed etc etc .

Have a look at these

If you have any more questions , please do ask , You may find posting in the appropriate sub forum like general keeping information will get you more answers , rather than in the introduction forum

One last jump , that's all we have to take Holth .
Wearily the old queen gathered heself to spring ;
Moreta gratefully began her litany .
Black , blacker , blackest -
They went between .

Welcome to the forum flake! You will find that this is a great place with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also gets lots of fun and friendship as a bonus. Not sure how much snake care and advice you were given when you got your snake but I would advise the following:

1. As Mnementh mentioned, when you first get a snake you need to leave your snake for a week to get over the stress of moving to your house and let him settle into his new surroundings by leaving him without handling or feeding for a week. Only put your hand in daily to change water and straighten substrate, that way he gets used to your smell. This may not apply to you as we dont know how long you have had your corn for.

2. Definitly read the topics Mnementh recommended...if he hadnt mentioned them I would have.

3. No question is regarded as a silly question on here.....it is much better asked and answered, you will probably find others who want the info too!

4. I hope you got as much info on the snake when you got him....shedding history, feeding history etc. Start your own 'Snake Diary', noting things like weight, length, feeding dates and what you feed, shedding dates, health problems. I know it seems a bit over the top but it is actually really helpful keeping track of your snake's health - I even note when Kellog poos!!

5. Unwritten forum rule - pics as soon as possible!

I am sure you already have a lot of knowledge but we can all learn more, I am sure even the most experienced owners on here would agree....and this one of the best places to find out what you need to. With regard to your questions I agree with everything Mnementh has said and that it is important to have more information to be able to help.

I will warn you that corn snakes are addictive.....and yes, the majority of us have stood up, said "hello my name is **** and I am addicted to corns........! And I am proud of it!" You have only just started down that path!!
