That is fantastic!! Cant imagine seeing that, not sure if I would be amazed or scared! Did she constrict as well? Can just see you sitting there in shock....holding a mouse's tail!!

Stella here did that once, the Hawk (who was holding the tongs with the mouse) didn't move at all and kept a steady hand, but admitted afterwards that he did think of jumping out of his skin.
No matter how many times I feed mine I still jump a bit not through fear I think its after wiggling the prey then bang without any signs they are going to
im used to the corns striking at food - they arent particularly scary as they are iccle still but i do jump when q or little one strikes, they are super fast compared to the corns lol..q struck for the first time last week and i dropped the rat with the tongs still attatched!! it is good when you see them striking at food - made me well proud of my little ones!

This feed was very out of character for marmalade to start and feeding is done on a routine so shouldnt of been that hungry. She was in her feeding tub on coffee table as had just weighed her, with lid proped on to stop her getting out (she normally stays in the tub even when she has the mouse) like i normally do. I got the mouse by the tail as normal an got ready to give it her but she must of been able to see the mouse through a gap as soon as i lifted the lid of she shoot out mouth open and ummm MISSED the target my a long shot, then had a second go by this time was half way out the tub after the first attempt, latched on an rolled around on the coffe table constricting it. i didnt see the tail off for a while she was laided on it i usually release the tongs straight away she she has freedom to constrict. I gave her 2 in the end as thought she mite apreciate a big meal, worked out she had about 24 grams i only feed her small mice which leaves a very small bump so mite get some mediums for her soon
