1 vent isnt really enough, both my vivs have 4.

wow will invest on get more thx sexybear iam planing on geting hardboard for the back instead of the flimsy stuff and put the vents at the back :)

for a viv that size id put at least another vent in or if possible two,
looks really good though

is it a fluresnt(spelling) tube lighting your using there? if so that can be bad for the snakes eyes!

no its a uvb light 2.0 :) im thinking bout replacing it with a smaller one as its heating the viv up to much unless i get them vents for the back it might release some heat :)

it does seem very brght to be on all the time. and snakes dont get any benifits from false light

You may want to tear that UVB out mate, corns don't need it and it can pee them off

May I ask what the black stuff is on the glass on the top pic?

Nice looking stack, I'd put a vent or two in each end of the viv. To keep air flow good and constant.

looks great,but take the tubes out,they flicker at a rate not noticable to us but can really stress a snake.

Just get a small light fitting, with something like an 8w energy saver in it.
You'll still need a guard though, either that or for LED lighting.

The little energy savers do still get fairly hot, yes.

The LED ones however do not get hot.
