Hi, Just as the subject says. Is it best to dry the moss out first or put it in wet when freezing for storage. And is there a limit to the time it will keep in the freezer?

The shedding box/hide I got had a bag of dried moss inside. Must have been in there a while. Is this a viable option for storage aswell - dry out and bag it?

When I put moss in the freezer, I just give it a squeeze out, to make sure it's not sopping wet then put the moss into butty bags in the freezer.

They should keep in there for as long as you want. Plus the freezing and (depending on how you defrost) will kill any potential beasties on the moss.

I personally wouldn't dry it out, then bag and store. the freezing is the easiest way to do it, plus takes up the least amount of space.
