Since the royal has a non feeders club, why not start a big corn club?

Whoevers got a big corn, piccies! See whose got the biggest

So, I think its time to FINALLY introduce 'Blitz' CB'03 - 04 ish Male, 4ft something long!

Will get more piccies tomorrow to get a scale of size.

yeah corns are wierd.. some put the energy from their food into growing long, some grow muscle. Blaze is hardly slender. but he's not overweight, a bit like Blitz.

my big boys are on an ex-breeder/jumbo/XL mouse fortnightly, and my big girl has a large mouse (or sometimes two) every week

and yes a kilo and a half of cornsnake is a hell of a lot!! average adults weigh in around the 750g mark............ he's been on a steady diet and exercise regime since i got him a year ago. his viv is split level with the 'warm end' the ground floor and the 'cool end' is the first floor, it's also where his water is. so to thermoregulate and to drink he has to move more.
i've not weighed him recently but i will do...........and let you all know if the split level accomodation has helped lol

not being annoying here but wouldnt it make mroe sense to have the top floor the hot part? and the bottom floor the cool part as heat rises up and it would be easier to mantain a temperature(stat use less electric)? just a thought :)

very true.........but the 1st floor is about a foot above the heatmat on the ground floor and the heat transfer is negliable

if i was using a ceramic then i'd definitely have is the way round you suggested though as heat transfer is a real pain in the ar$e lol
