Twilight just took his first Fuzzie - bless! I was really worried as it looked massive. He's been on two pinkies for the last few feeds and last time had a really big pinkie and a little one too so I thought he would be ready. It took 10 minutes from first strike (he started at the middle and had to work his way up to the head first!!) to get it about halfway down his length. Does that sound OK?
I thought I would leave him 7 days to digest that one. Is that about right?
Cheers, Sam

So glad he has moved onto fuzzies. It is hard watching them for the first few feeds when they move up a size...it does seems as though they will never get it down (checkout the video section, you will see Kellog eating a jumbo mouse and that looks impossibly large for him). That feed took about 10mins, the next feed was a lot quicker with same size mouse. I am glad he was sensible enough to work his way round to its head before he started, rather than try to eat it side on! Clever Twilight!
Eye is probably right about leaving him the extra day to adjust to the new size and then returning to the usual routine.
quote:hi i was wondering what type of corn is twilight? it looks really nice.
He's an Anery Tricksea. He used to be black and silver but his colours are changing with each shed. The silver is turning creamy yellow and the black is turning greyer and slightly brown. He's still gorgeous though and has a bluey metallic sheen to the top of his head which I'm especially fond of.

With Casper I let him eat two small pinkies then upped him to the larger pinky when he started taking two of them, every 5 days, I tried him on a Fuzzy and he too took what seemed like forever to eat it but He now has one every 7 days and seems to get better at handling them.
