Just thought I would update you on Elijah's 3rd handling session and I got his 2nd feed on vid as well. Well he seems even more reluctant to come out his hide when I take the lid off, but once he is in my hands he seems fine, no more zooming off.

His 2nd feed went really well, in his faun again, sorry about the quality, my digi cam had a mind of it's own. Not exactly proof that Corns can indeed feed in plastic as I didn't get the whole faun n there.

Hi next feed will be in a seperate feeding box, and I will vid that as well, so the proff will be in the pudding, or is that pinky? Lol.

Ok, Elijah had his 3rd feed today, and I conducted a little experiment, this time his feed was in a plastic container with no cover, I just wanted to see if he would refuse to feed. Here's the link

Then I got a few stills from the footage, images are abitpoopdue to the vid cam.

I think he is doing great, thing is......... he ate the pinky backwards, I thought that was supposed to cause issues if they ate their grub the wrong way? He has also gained 2g in one week and now eighs 8g.

Regards
Mick

He is an bum man, eh?

Love it!

As for eating the food backwards, it is perfectly ok on that size of mouse although is more likely to cause scratches in the throat on larger mice that have bigger claws. Plus the legs tend to fold flat when they take them head first, which could also be an issue on a bigger mouse.

nice vids and stills
like bio said with pinkies and fuzzies taking it backwards isnt too much of a problem, its when its a bigger mouse that it can cause a problem
