Try putting a water bowl over the heat mat this will bring the humidity up. Also put in a small rub with Sphagnum moss in, this will help the shed.If you haven`t got any moss you can use damp paper towels.
I've had my baby corn snake for 2 weeks now and she is in the process of her 1st shed.
She appears to be struggling, I have given her a bath a couple of times and she is constantly rubbing against the substrate.
I have read about misting the tank to increase humidity but I don't know what this entails or how to do it!
Any help gratefully received.

the whole shed process takes from 4-14days. has your snake started to lose any of its skin yet? try not to disturb your snake to much during this time as there eye sight is very poor. if you wish to incress the humidity there are 2 main ways either get a clean spray bottle and spray the viv once in the morning and once in the evening during the shed period or make a moss hide (this is how to first prepare the moss http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=1766) once the moss is prepared put it in a marg/butter tub with a small hole cut in the lid.
