what are you feeding him on?

can you remember roughly how small he was when you got him? id hazard a guess at around 10-12months but he could be older,

tbh guessing age from length isnt very accurate.. i have a 4month old corn who is coming in at about 17-18inches long but then my non feeder who is just over 1month old is already pushing 15inches..
If your snake was fed on a shop diet - when they are only fed once a week so they can stay in smaller fauns/vivs for longer - then it could have drastically affected how much he will have grown when he was younger..

Not at all, most probably just sulking. They don't like their privacy invaded that way.

really if hes on three pinkies a time he should be on small fuzzies.. try him with a fuzzy next time and then gradually work up to two fuzzies and then the next size up from there

when one fuzzy leaves a very small visible bump once it has moved down to the thickest part..
if hes on 3 pinkies he should be fine - probably just not used to having the equivalent all in one go thats all
