no they are completely different, aspen is specially for retiles! The ones for gerbils are usually pine which is poisonous to snakes!!

Dont worry i've realised my usual reptile online supplier sells it. My guy is about 1 and a half Ft is he too small for shavings?

please don't confuse Aspen with sawdust/shavings sold for small animal bedding. Aspen is completly safe for reps whereas shavings/sawdust are pine based and are definitely NOT suitable!
