We've also been using the Beapher Beaclean in the vivs for all of our guys. Is it safe to use on their water bowls?

OMG - didn't know that - I'll stop using immediately. I've always really watered it down and so far there doesn't seem to have been any ill effects but don't want to risk it. Is Savlon the same?

I spot check daily, change the water daily and every month I remove the old aspen substrate and use Miltons in warm water to wash the viv out with.
