hello poeople of corn, winston's shed is still on going, he about 2inch's on his tail that dont look like its gonna come off it been the longest shed ever nearly 2 weeks i am a little bit concerend help!!

Get a very damp towel or paper towels and keep wiping the old skin. When the old skin is wet add a little pressure whilst you are wiping and the skin should come off.

NO!!! you could damage the underlying scales!

either add a damp hide (replacing his usual hide with it if neccessary, to get him to use it) or give him a bath for 10-15 mins to soft the stuck shed first before GENTLY running a flannel or your fingers over it from head to tail direction

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

Err gp Kev has tried the bath and whats the difference between A damp towel and a flannel or am i missing something

so try the bath again, then the flannel or towel...........

just wiping/rubbing away at the dry skin can cause a lot of damage!

I didnt mean just wipe at the dry skin and i wouldnt use a dry flannel either

it depends..he might just be a fussy shedder but I think its probs just a one off.. getting a hide and filling it with damp spagnum (spelling???) moss when he goes blue will really help him,
and with regular feeding he should shed roughly every 4-6weeks

He might have a bad shed next time Kev, Sully had 3 bad sheds before she started shedding ok but it will sort itself out.
