reading back on housing more than one snake together i wonder how people who have four five or more herps house them.Do they have seperate vivs for each or is there a special setup for them.when i think about it seperate vivs with all they thermostats and lighting could put a fair dent on the national power grid lol can anyone advise me on a diy setup.much appreciate any advice |

i have 4 snakes atm at my house.. have 3 of them next to eachother in fauns sharing one strip heatmat so i know the temp is the same in each.. the other one is on his own heatmat but when lukes snake goes back to his house il move mont onto the other heatmat with the other 2 so i have room for my royal
none of mine have lights as they arent really of any benefit to corns but the heatmats dont really use that much energy and i deliberately made sure 3 could fit on to one heatmat so that its more cost efficient |

i have four guys and work in the same way as hannahb, sharing heat (took me a couple of days to get the temps right for everyone) when i move house it will be better as i would prefer them to have everything without sharing. |

I have 4 rubs on one strip mat / mat stat and 3 seperate mats , 2 of the mats are seperate vivs . I do prefer the rubs space wise , for looks I would love them to all be in vivs but then thats 1 heat mat each , much more convienient to let 4 or so depending on size of rubs , sharing a mat :) |

Okay just took some photo's , here is how mine is set up for now .
This is the shelf space I have and how vivs and rubs are set out .You can seee in the pic , both vivs on bottom shelf have their own stats which you can see on top left of each viv . The rubs share one 46" x 6" wide heat strip , the mat stat can be seen affixed to the shelf .
These are a couple of pics in the rubs , each rub would have aspen substrate , watering bowl , 2 places to hide 1 warm 1 cold , piece of Mopani wood and a plant .
Hope that helps :) |

i have 24 snakes here (with 2 more ordered) and all are in appropriate sized tubs housed in a home made shelving unit heated by mats. This will eventually be replaced because when the little ones get bigger i'll have no room. I'll get a pic later on tonight and post up how they are arranged |

eeji , those small fully sealable air tight tubs you have there , do you use those for hatchlings .
Do you drill both ends for vents etc .
Have a few of those of differing sizes , usually have food in them in the fridge :P
What size are those ?
Cheers . |

Ahh brill ta , always on the lookout for stuff like that :) |
