Rat pups have alot more fat (relitivly) than large mice. You dont want the snake getting any rounder so I would change to 2 large mice every 2 weeks. |

Personally I think it's best to move him down to large or x-large mice every 10-14 days Rats are much too fatty for corns, I was going to move my madam onto weaned rats, posted a topic on here about it and pretty much everyone said rats are not a good idea to feed to corns. I hope this helps Hes very handsome though! |

lovely snake but id move down to mice and maybe feed every 10-14days.. rats arent really of any nutritional benefit to corns because of their high fat content... |

lovely looking snakes you have all of you, I'm new to this and new to havin a snake.
I did go to college 10 yrs ago though and did 2 years in looking after reptiles, really enjoyed it. Didn't have the bottle to look after one at home until now thought, so far so good :o) |

aswell as changing rats to mice, thats all you can really do the weight will soon drop off him if hes out 20mins daily with a nice new diet |

Think I read somewhere that giving him a bath (swimming) and making him go up or down stairs (carefully monitored of course) are good ways of helping the snake to exercise. Could 'Those who know' confirm this for me, dont want to give bad advice. xxx |
