Ok so had to get a new thermostat a couple days ago and its not working properly so i raised the temp in the room im keeping him in until i can get another delivered. That should be ok right ?

The other is that after taking his first feed fine hes decided hes not playing anymore and doesnt want to take this time. Im glad he didnt given the heat probs and im wondering if this maybe has something to do with the lower temp ? Also should i be leaving off until his next feed is due before trying again when i have the heating probs sorted or offer again when i have the new thermostat ?

snakes need heat do digest their food, so this is most likely the reason he didnt take it. Wait until you have the new thermostat and try feeding him then. hope it goes ok for you

personally id wait until the new thermostat arrives as if its too cold he might regurgitate it and stress him out..
but thats just my opinion.. someone else might be able to give you more advice soon

wait till all temps are sorted and running spot on for a few days, then offer again. dont offer until heat is back up as as stated above, corns need heat to digest their food.

Yea sorry thats what i meant i knew not to try feeding him again atleast until the new thermostat gets here as although i have raised the temp in the room i dont think it will be enough to allow him to digest his food what i was wondering was when the stat arrives should i offer him food then or wait until he was due his next feed even though due to the heat probs he has missed this weeks ?

Should have made that clearer sorry :D

What seems to be the trouble with it? I'm asking because we too thought there was something wrong with ours and then found out the dial wasn't all that accurate. Raised the temp on the dial, and viv temps started to right themselves. Could that be the problem with yours?

Its just not working i thought it was the heat mat when i first noticed but when i plugged the mat into the wall socket it was working fine so not the mat. The thermostat light would come on the mat would heat but within about 5 mins it would stop the mat cools down and thats it nothing more happens. I had already raised the temp on dial after reading ( i think it was on here) that the tepm should be set by that in the viv not stat. I sat with it for hours checking and all i get is the first heat up then nothing ?

Im just not sure whats went wrong with it but i have ordered a new one and just hope i have a better time with this one.
