why do people join here and refuse to listen to others. we are a great community on here that helps eachother and yes newbies often have a greater understanding than many of us but when its clear a person is wrong why do they not except it?
some people will know what im on about here but i dont want names mentioned.

i know what you mean Brookie, sometimes i feel like i'm banging my head against a wall with some people, others take all the info available on board and solve their queries/concerns/problems........

i knew i was right but she wouldnt except it. i dont mind being corrected but people agreed with me and she still wouldnt except. i just gave up in the end. i asked so many questions when i joined and know i feel cinfident to enough to help others.

Understood. I saw the thread. Every so often you'll extend your hand to someone and they'll bite it, but I hope this won't stop you extending your hand to others in future.
The advice and support I received here in the short time I've been around are much appreciated and very valuable to me and I'm sorry to see someone tries to help and gets a bad response for their efforts.

| Dont beat yourself up about it Brookestar. We can all give bad/wrong advise and get corrected but you were right. Maybe she will realise when it is older and turns out orange instead of red, or maybe she wont |

From what I've heard about it, just imagine if someone says a similar thing on other web-sites about they know best because of what they've been told.
Apparently the 'dark-side' can be quite 'vocal' sometimes. |

| I know what you are talking about Brookestar and I dont think you did/said anything wrong. I know that when I joined I felt a lot of pressure regarding the hides both ends of viv topic, which I agree with and will do in next viv setup. Some made their point very strongly and at times it was hard to take, but I accepted it cos I know that the forums main concern is the snake. I am still here and hoping to give advice if I feel I can....but must admit that the reaction you got has made me a bit nervous! You are experienced and you were backed up by others who know what they are talking about, just wish eejit had waded in with his opinion!!! Some people can only see from their point of view and not only was she being told she was wrong but she was being told that her friends had conned her or werent the amazing corn experts she thought they were. You can only do your best - it is up to us who ask the questions to take the advice in the way it is given....xxx |

Yes Kellog she was told some harsh truths and everyone was really gentle with her, so her response was really uncalled for.
Don't let this deter you, you give warm and kind responses and even when you don't offer advice you really make a newbie feel welcome |

| Please dont let reactions of some people put you guys off helping others, this forum is invaluable to me. Even when i dont have any problems or comments to make, its still nice popping in to see how everyone is getting along. |

| 100% agree, some people just cant seem to take the truth, it gets on my goat! I read the topic after it was locked and straightaway i knew it was a normal- but that is only because of all the help from people on this forum. Just wish I had a chance to reply before it was shut down lol |

You did nothing wrong mate. If I ever win the lottery my plan is to set up a company and map the genome of Royals, Corns, Boas, etc then map the morphs too. Any disputes then hey presto almost instant irrefutable proof evidence of what morph the animal is. Problem solved .
Anyone want to invest in the idea when it happens  . |
