Hi

I have been advised that I can not have a heat map with a woodern Viv, can any one let me know if this is correct?

I have now purchased a dimming thermostat and heat lamp.

Thanks in advanced,

K

You can have a heat mat in a wooden viv, i think most people on here have one. If you are getting a younger corn you really need a heat mat

I am not sure, but the MatStat will do, and its around 20 pounds.

You need to drill a hole for the wire, take the plug off, thread the wire through the hole in the tank and then fix the plug on again and hey! the heatmats in there.

You cannot use a dimming stat on a heat mat as the wattage is to low on the heat mat. Think the dimming stat starts at 40 watts.

Thanks for the above info

Does any one know if the dimming thermostat will be suitable or will I have to buy another unit?
