Hi
I have been advised that I can not have a heat map with a woodern Viv, can any one let me know if this is correct?
I have now purchased a dimming thermostat and heat lamp.
Thanks in advanced,

You can have a heat mat in a wooden viv, i think most people on here have one. If you are getting a younger corn you really need a heat mat |

I am not sure, but the MatStat will do, and its around 20 pounds.
You need to drill a hole for the wire, take the plug off, thread the wire through the hole in the tank and then fix the plug on again and hey! the heatmats in there. |

You cannot use a dimming stat on a heat mat as the wattage is to low on the heat mat. Think the dimming stat starts at 40 watts. |

Does any one know if the dimming thermostat will be suitable or will I have to buy another unit?
