i have just got myself an all glass viv it measures 37cm wide x 28 cm deep x28cm high it is split in 2
im looking at getting two baby corns in a week or so
got a heat mat today (7 watt) pick up stat at weekend but would this give enough heat for the babies |

| should do, have you got a thermometer? temp at the hot end should be around 29-30 degrees C, with a gradient across the viv and a cool end too. |

Well I was getting bored and did this in paint for you.
The outter lines are the vivarium the central line is the glass partition? and then the big black thing is the heatmat covering an estimate of 1.3rd of the floor space and the little box is the stat.

That should work as long as you follow hilzi's advice on sharing the mat and making sure it covers approx 1/3 of floorspace, and also protect the bottom glass with either an air-gap or newspaper to prevent it cracking.
Bear in mind you could have just got a plastic faunarium for about £15 or a RUB (which is what most breeders and shops keep hatchlings in) for a couple of quid.
It's often advised to cover the back and sides of a glass viv to help the snake feel more enclosed as otherwise it will feel stressed and possibly affect it's feeding response... As your faunarium is divided down the center you can't do that but you can help overcome that by packing both snake's sections with lots of hides, plants, vines, etc etc. Doesn't have to be anything expensive, even empty loo rolls will help give your snake hidey holes so it doesn't feel like it's out in the open and about to get eaten by predators!
I'd like to see the finished setup as it sounds very interesting, and cute with two hatchlings in it! |

| some mats, particularly the Habistat 'rainforest' ones MUST have an air gap under them (after you've stuck them to the underside of the GLASS ONLY viv)......... so read the instructions carefully! |

Very important as Niel said, they need two hides each. one in the warm end, one in the cool end of each side of the partition. Adequate space and waterbowls each. maybe a log and vine or plant so it will help them shed and get some exercise.

It's ok (maybe a bit bare, to a little corn hatchling it might feel quite exposed due to the large open view from the sides and front).
You could cover the sides, and maybe shove in some plastic plants to make the hatchlings feel more secure (of course, they might also be perfectly fine with it how it is too).
I can't see a wire for your thermometers, but I would just say make sure you have a decent thermal gradient so the snakes can thermo-regulate properly.
On a purely aesthetic point I'd use reptile bark or similar for the substrate because I think it looks nicer than newspaper but many wouldn't agree  |

| temps are all ok been checking all the time still feels cold to me i use to have an iguana and his cage was always warm and moist were as snakey houses dont seem that warm....lol |

are you using a digital thermometer to measure the temp? the dial ones can be a bit inaccurate.
Mind you, our first one was an aquarium lcd strip thermometer! |
