i have a male which weighs 140 grams...im wondering if he would be too small to have with a female which was the correct breeding size weight and age?

theres two chances, he either is or isn't ;)

how old is he? if he's too young then he may not be interested, and if he is theres a risk that your female will lay lots of slugs so she would go through the process for nothing

Even if he is ready, he'd be less than half her size, which would increase the risk of her thinking 'mmm, a nicely shaped snack?'

Theres a rule for females 3years+ x 3foot long+ x 300grams+ .

I'm not sure what applies for males though, I'd stick with the 3x3x300 rule, he'd at least be same size roughly as the female.
