Hi,
Well this is day two of owning my first snake. George/Gerogina is an 18 month old corn snake and beautiful if I most say so myself.

So, thats it, Hello everyone, I expect I'll be here quite a lot looking for tips and advice.

Does anyone reconise the morph variation? I gather thats what the colouration is called.

Also any reccomendations on the habitat are appreciated.

Cheers
Trapsie

hi and welcome to the forum,a couple of suggestion seeing you asked, you will need hides at both warm and cool end and it might make him feel a bit more secure if the ends of the tank were blocked off. What are you using to heat the tank?

What a gorgeous snake! Great idea to join the forum - you get great advice, the occasional telling off (lol) and make some good friends. Be interested on a definitive decision on what he/she is because the markings are gorgeous. Hope you are leaving it for a while without handling so it gets settled and feels safe in its new home. You are going to get so much joy from it (sorry, horrible having to say 'it' all the time). xxx

Welcome to the forums, I would hazard a guess at that being a caramel.
Just to echo what others have said, you need to get 2 hides in there in the cold and hot ends.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Plant pots with holes cut in them make good hides, so do large margarine tubs with a hole cut in the top.
