Either or really, there is no difference in how they are. Although some males do tend to stop eating for a short while in the spring, due to mating season arriving. This can be a worry for some new snake owners.
Guess it depends on what age you get your snake - if it is a hatchling then you have a 50/50 chance. As for an adult snake I think it would depend on what was available from wherever I got if from and which snake attracted me the most. xxx
Please correct me if i am wrong here, but i thought that females sometimes layed eggs even if there was no male involved... which would put a strain on their bodies.
