What are your guys methods of spot cleaning..?
I have found some suprises in the tank and need to remove them..
I used to scoop them up with kitchen roll yet this proved a bit messy. (aspen went everywhere!!)
I was thinking of using a dustpan but the tanks a bit small and don't want to take out too much substrate!!
Idea's anyone? I've seen that hermit crab one floating around in a few shops but tbh, £6? No thanks!

I grab whatever mess and damp substrate there is with kitchen roll, then put that into a food bag and tie the top. I just get the cheepest kitchen roll and food bags I can find. |

Gonna wait till Blaze is roaming, its feeding day on wednesday so should be hunting soon then have a re-organize and cleaning session;
full cleaned out last weekend - then s/he went and ruined it, having a clean tank must get their bowels going.
They have funny ways of showing you they love you.. ah well :)
Thanks for those tips guys! |

I use an old Coffee jar top. A credit card type of card with a plastic coating, I just scoop it into the lid and then put it in the bin bag. |

I use an old spoon, great scoop and can get into corners plus scratch off stubborn bits. Its also easy to steralise, just like feeding tongs ^^ |
