I have a water filter in the kitchen for me anyway so figured I might as well use it for mr snakey too. |

I have been using bottled water for my corns but us tap water for my royal left to stand for 2 days, her bowl is too big to use bottled water every day. |

Most people on the forum use tap water. Definantly DONT use de-chlorinator, it is poisonous to drink. |

cheers guys got him last night just used tap water ive been told he's just about to start shredding and to leave him alone
is it normal for him to sit on the heat mat all night? its on the inside of the tank currently so i need to cover it with some sort of ceramic tile |

It is normal for them to do that, you'll probably barely see him for a few days until he settles in. |

ok he is about a year old and was delivered to me in his vivarium so he know his surroundings
also when i got it the thermostat probe was stuck at the unheated end so i moved it to just above the heat mat, is this correct?
they where just using a light a heat but ive desided to use the heat mat they gave me as its probally cheaper on electric and safer for the snake |

i'd still treat him as a new snake, leave him a week to get used to his new view. |
