I've used these 'Air Duster' cans before in the past for cleaning inside my PC. They're pretty good, but not cheap.

Found this one - http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=225755 at Maplins, £11.79 though

if u are confident enough (not that difficult aslong as you make sure to ground urself, get rid of static and that)(and remember where the screws came from) you could revove the cover frm the bottom and clean the fan with a paint brush, i use a hoover on desktops, just make sur not to bash anything, and u should be fine, if u had to remove the top cover thats when itll be troublesome cause u need to remove the screen, should ony need the bottom off, but deffo easy enough to do if ur carefull

and if its overheating, it may be ur processor is being worked hard

click start then run and type "msconfig" in the box and hit enter, click the startup tab and uncheck programs u dont need to free up usage and see if this helps if u have alot of things running from start up u could be putting the processor under a lot of strain

and expensive cleaners and that are no good in my opinion ur better off doing it the old fashioned way and cleaning off by hand

if its is constantly overheating you may need to take thr CPU out and replace the layer of thermal paste (which helps with heat disipation) as this gets burnt away the first time it overheats.

This isnt a trivial thing to do but works very well.

PC world would be able to to it but would charge a bit for it I should guess

You might find that its your CPU that needs cleaned, they get covered in dust and it acts like an insulating jacket. Cans of compressed air are the easier way
sumit like this
http://www.mangotango.co.uk/5-Star-Air-Duster-Can-HFC-Free-Compressed-Gas-Flammable-400ml/p/B000MQ7DZC/

With mine I just took it apart, just grabbed a radiator before i opened it, to discharge myself, but do this at ya own risk lol

I;m assuming no one has thought to ask the most important question:
Where do you use it?

If it's on your bed (like my niece does) then that'll be why it overheats.
try getting something under it that can either lift the front of back up slightly when it's on a flat surface, to increase airlow.

Got my laptop on a beanbag table thingy, keeps it stable, and means that it doesn't overheat.

Do you have a hair dryer?? set it to cold, then blast it into the OUTFLOW of the laptop, that should hopefully dislodge a vast amount of dust etc and blow it back out of the intake.

Do it with the machine OFF.
