this is nothing to worry about if it is just the one, its just nature and there's not alot we can do about this,
plenty of breeders have lost hatchlings over the years, so please don't worry about it too much.
hope this helps,
scott

lost track of the day's now, but I'm getting my amel stripe corn on the 2nd of August!!!

how often are you checking the eggs (since it's around hatching day for them)?
and what's your incubator set-up like?

TBH in the wild corns lay so many eggs as they wouldn't all make it..........

Don't worry Valentina - you are doing alright. Have the others hatched yet?

Breeding is a lot harder than it seems- it was our first time this year and we lost them all, so you must be doing better than we are

If one has pipped, some breeders would slit the other eggs.

I think the others have died too the egg shells are going moldy and smell. I'm gutted because I opened one and it had an amel in it. But the eggs from the second lay look alright. I think the incubater may have been too warm.

aww hun, how sad. I really want to breed but things like this put me off coz I know I'd be really upset. Don't get downhearted though, good luck with the second lay and let us know how it goes xx
