That also depends on if the Pirates are wearing camouflaged clothing.
If they were, then neither would be able to find each other.

You are forgetting about the pixies and elves that are too quick and small for the ninjas and pirates. They can only be seen if you truly believe.....but they are still there, even if you dont believe....you just cant see them! xxx

Now you're moving into the realm of disbelief Kellog.

That's a bit like saying that Kaz is a REALLY nice person.

More the realm of fantasy and hope - I keep hoping the pixies and elves will have done all the tidying up and washing up in the night while I sleep but they never do. having said that I dont exactly give them much chance cos I am awake most of the time. Anyhow, surely ninjas and pirates are on same level of belief as pixies and elves! xxx

Wearily the old queen gathered heself to spring ;
Moreta gratefully began her litany .
Black , blacker , blackest -
They went between .

It is getting that way, yes. I am just watching my King Snake tunnelling under the substrate, it is rather relaxing actually.

Kellog is actually out at moment, laid out across back of viv. He has been out a lot today around his viv and my daughter even took him out of the viv (after checking that he had already pooed so she wouldnt be at risk!). She handled him really well after a moment of panic! xxx

I handled my new arrival for the first time properly today, i needed to switch thermostats in the viv so i had to take her out for a while. I thought i would handle her a little and see how she reacted to it, she was fine for most of it but did panic slightly when i touched near her head... so my hand was well and truly musked. haha

My dog didn't much like the musk smell either. :P

Still havent experienced musking yet and must admit that I assumed only males did it as I assumed it was to do with mating/marking territory. xxx

As far as i am aware both genders musk, with my snake i am only calling it a she because it seems nicer than referring to her as an it all the time.

To be honest i have never heard of a corn snake musking, although a quick google search just now did show me reports of them doing so. With King Snakes it just seems like their stock "get away from me" trick, they do it so often.

Certainly a few corn owners on here have mentioned musking. Just been looking at Andy etc new boa. Have echoed your comment about settling in time. Am surprised they didnt know better, especially with a snake that has obviously been mishandled. xxx

It really is important, i have been leaving mine alone as much as possible since i bought her on sunday. Now that i have done everything in the viv that i needed to i will be leaving her alone for the rest of the settling in period.

I can imagine a big boa that has been spooked could be a scary thing, i know i wouldn't want to take a bite from one... especially if it could of been avoided with a little hands off time.

Some times you hear what someone has done and you just think 'Oh why!!!!'. Especially when they have the little bit of experience they have and the wealth of experience they have access to. Not sure how they are going to take our remarks! xxx

I am basically sat here watching a replay of the F1 free practice from earlier today, and generally keeping an eye on my snakes... although one is in blue at the moment and isn't out.
