Hi all. Maggie's shed and I have my beautiful, funny, clever, happy girl back :) naughtily forgot to weigh her before she was mated (but knew from weigh in in December she's definitely big enough) today she weighed 387g. Interestingly she's lost the pigment from some of her scales, thought it was stuck shed at first but it won't budge haha. Now to get her feeding again :) |

Nice one :-) Sebastian's has shed just now- l thought he was going to have trouble, as l saw the shed tearing - so went in to help him. He was using me to shed, ( still in the Viv ), crawling right through my hands! Never knew the shed feels so sticky as they shed, it's normally just damp. :-)
Funny about the loss of pigment on Maggie, Squidwood has developed a white mark after his last shed. It's not an injury, and the scales are perfectly healthy, he just lost pigment... are Maggie's marks white?
Fingers crossed for Maggie's first feed going well :-) Has Maggie got any hets, or will the babies be all caramels? |
