Alright, so, I've currently finished my 10th hour turning my house upside down to find my beloved corn.
I've read some tips and etc but they were all for hatchlings so i wondered what you can do to help locate a 5foot corn.
she ate saturday and pooped yesterday, so I'm not suspecting her to be looking for food, and considering her size i thought the whole bottle trap idea seemed far fetched?
I've set down the bags and am preparing to sit all night to listen and see if i get anything, theres water bowls near the bags too as well as a few hot water bottle boxes set up also. i think i may have covered everything, as well as I've left her viv open incase she decides to return. I also wanted to know when is it considered that you may not find her / him ?
as after turning the house upside down it seems unlikely that ill find her any time soon

When I lost Diego (5 foot bright orange, felt such a tool XD) he got in to one of my cupboards and curled up in a tight spot under a water tank. Your snake has probably done something similar and found a nice tight spot to go to sleep in. I found Diego after only a day but I have lost a king snake for 3 months, she was a juvenile, and turned up absolutely none the worse for wear.

Think like the snake, try to imagine what she would have seen coming from her vivarium. Oo, nice tight spot right over there behind the sofa (have you checked *in* the sofa?), or dark spot under that cupboard. Chances are she hasnt gone far and is actually still right under your nose.

As above, try to think like a snake, and start searching from the Viv outwards. Think of which way she could have gone, and the nearest tight/ dark space. Also, search through any clothes, before you put them in the washing machine! Near hot water pipes, heating, backs of computers etc., anywhere where a snake could be searching for warmth.

Good luck, hope she turns up soon.

remove her water or close her viv. put water bowls in the middle of rooms so when she gets thirsty she has to come out in the open, hopefully allowing you to catch her
