Hi guys.Just got my first set up for a baby corn and just wanted to ask (the obvious) but I take it that it's necessary to deep clean everything on first setup? Thanks. |

I did, Dave. It may be a bit of extra work but it's worth it for peace of mind. When are you getting your little one?

Should be in the next week or two. Want to find a suitable one but not sure which morph yet. |

I would, and I'd certainly use a reptile friendly disinfectant, as many normal disinfectants leave a residue that can be toxic to snakes. Failing that, bleach solution is very good, as bleach disintegrates after cca 24 hours, and doesn't leave a residue ( obviously, rinse well, whatever you use ).
Tis the most exciting times, preparing a new set up for a new snakey :-) enjoy :-)

Collecting Caroline corn next week. Can't wait. Another question how long will he be on fluffs for? (That's what he's currently eating) |

Generally, when the fluffs don't leave a bump ( or almost don't leave a bump ) after the food has settled in the stomach, it's time to go to hoppers :-) |

It's hard to predict how long a snake will be on a certain prey item because they all grow differently. Razee has given you the best 'guide' there is .

My first was a Carolina. Was going to hold out for an amel stripe or lavender, but I went into the pet shop to ask some questions and there was a little face peering back at me and I couldn't resist. That was 3 and a half years ago now haha |
