Not too worried about this, because it's been therea very long while. But on my lovely corny's underside, the edges of his belly scales are a little 'frayed' in places. Occasionally they will even peel straight off, though this is rare. Should I be worried folks? |

You may find that things will correct themselves with the next shed. |

Is the heat mat on a thermostat, although it may correct itself with the next shed it sounds like it could be a burn |

The heat mat is no longer on a thermosta, but the current one is only 10w. Plus, he's generally not in that end of his viv. The peeling has been there for several sheds now, there's no discolouring, and the peels are perfectly clear. |

Why is the mat no longer on a thermostat? Even small mats are capable of reaching over 50°C reinstate it asap, I say |

I echo what ScalySituation and Donnie have said. One of my thermostats was unplugged by mistake. Luckily I have digital thermometers in all my vivs and I saw that the temperature was rising. I would urge you to use one.

Apologies, I had cropped that message slightly by accident. I was originally attempting to say that the matt wasno longer plugged into a thermostat because it no longer worked. It hasn't been plugged in for several months now, since beforehis last shed. I know, he needs a second heat source, it is being ammended. |

If the mat isn't on a thermostat please turn it off He doesn't need a second heat source. A statted mat is fine |

Heat matt's been unpligged for a while now. His primary heat source has been his heat lamp, sorry for the confusion. |
