Hi,
I got my first corn snake last week (he's a CB13 anery), and am a bit concerned about the cool sides temperature.
He's in a monkfield 18 inch terrarium which is heated by a heat mat attached to an on/off stat. The temperatures are monitored by a dual probe digital thermometer and spot checked with a infrared heat gun.
I think I have his warm side temp ok, at the moment it's staying between 27.5 C and 30.5 C on the digital and the infrared is within .5 of the digital reading.
However, the cool side temperature drops to 18 C and never goes above 21 C.
Is this OK or do I need to get this up? If I need to increase it, does anyone have any advice?

| The cool side temps are fine. Normal uk house temps are fine for corns. If they get a bit cool they will move to the heat mat side and warm themselves up a bit, just make sure your warm side temps are fine (which they are) and that is all you need to do. |

Thanks guys, was a little bit worried as my snake book said it should be 22. But he seems to be happy enough, took his first feed Saturday  |
