Caught Emmy shedding just now! She seems to be having issues with her tail though. So, I was Gona pop some moss in her fave hide, and if that doesn't help, help her out with a cloth tomorrow morning? Or should I try help her sooner? |

Never mind she's all done. She went into her hide and I took her out to check and the last wee bit just came off nice and easy! Fascinating watching her shed though. I've now seen all of them shed |

So glad you caught Emmy shedding. Even after all these years and having seen nearly all of mine shed (Casper is still being elusive) I still find it amazing, especially how hard they have to work to get it started.
Well done Emmy for getting that stubborn tail piece off .

Every time one of mine is shedding I am as nervous as an expectant father so my other half says. It just seems to be one of those worry things lol. |

Oscar has always been a fab shedder, Emmy is mainly fine but have had to use moss once or twice so do worry a little more!
I've managed to catch all of mines shedding except Hugo, but he's only been here 6 days so plenty time |

Ok so I'm just feeding Emmy and have noticed there is actually a tiny bit of shed on her tail
I'll get a pic up.
Should I leave her to digest before I try get it off? Don't want to handle straight after feeding but obv don't want the tip of her tail going bad! Any advice would be appreciated |

Here's a pic. It's about 2 or 3mm worth.

I think one day won't make a difference. I'd try tomorrow evening - maybe just spraying the tip... if that doesn't do it - Baz had the same problem - I moistened a bit of toilet tissue, wrapped her tail tip in it and kept it very wet, whilst she sat on my lap. After about 5 mins, it came off really easily, no stress for the snake. :-) |
