Hello fellow snake lovers and enthusiasts. I'm new here and have recently just got my first ever snake. I bought a Carolina Corn and Albino morph which is a beautiful bright red, orange and cream colour. I fell in love with the Corn Snake after playing with my friends who was from the same pet shop. I look forward to reading all your posts and learning as much as I can to provide my snake with the best care and love possible!

Hi Alan, it is really good that you have joined us. This is a great forum with lots of experienced owners happy to give their advice and support. You also get lots of fun and friendship . If you're a Facebook user you can also join our group on there - Thecornsnake.co.uk
I'm sure you've already browsed the TCS site and forum, so you've probably already looked at these threads, but better heard twice than not at all. The best places to start are the Care Sheet and Your 1st snake. I'm not sure if Sydney is in a faun or viv, so either Setting Up A Hatchling Corn Snake - My 101 or Setting Up An Adult Corn Snake - My 101 may be helpful. You'll also find a lot of information on viv set-up, feeding, shedding and handling in General Keeping Information - Stickies
If you can't find what you want to know using the search option, then please don't hesitate to ask. We don't bite, much . In the top right corner, by the search option, is 'Active topics'. You can use that to access those threads that have been commented on since you last logged in.
Sydney is lovely . I do wonder the same as Razee as to whether he might be going blue, although pics can be deceiving.
A word of warning, this won't be your last corn....they are addictive .

Sydney is gorgeous Alan . Is that his normal faun? Reason for asking is that I can only see one hide and a dial thermometer, which is about as useful as walking boots for a snake .

Hello to you and the very handsome/pretty Sydney. Kellog is so right about the dial thermometers - the digital ones aren't expensive and you get so much more peace of mind knowing the temps are right. The mat stats are an absolute must too! |
