This really does show how you can't judge a snakes age by its size.
First up the CB11's. Alaska
 Flame
 Kalypso

Now the CB10's Ofelia
 Falcor
 Sabai
 Loki

I was shocked by Sabai, he's always been a fair bit smaller and lighter than Falcor but has now overtaken him!! Reckon its fue to Falcor being such an active nosey snake haha

Lovely snakes, though you've made me feel guilty. I've been thinking my Twid ( CB 11 ) is a bit chubby, as he's 537g ( and Seb, sam age, only 250 g )! Now, seeing your CB 11 s,Twid does look a bit on the heavy side... hmm... diet coming on, I think.
Love Sabai and Flame especially, and Falcor - he's turned a bit darker! :-) |

Lovely snakes, I really love Kalypso's colouring. Gorgeous!
Gosh, it's made me realise that my CB12s are mahoosive :S They're all bigger than most of your CB11s (some of them aren't heavier than Kalypso though)... No idea why, I don't power feed or anything. They're only on one (medium or large) mouse every 10-14 days now :S |

Beautiful snakes, I weighted my two the other day and couldn't believe how much they have chunked up! Where has the time gone?! |

It's just too variable lol! You see I thought Kalypso looked a bit chubby in that pic - but it's probably just the angle of the photo... Corno hatched 31/8/11 and is 520g!!! Admittedly I am only feeding her every 14 days now as I was worried she was getting a bit big for my liking, but she doesn't look fat at the moment and she's still nice and loaf-shaped with her muscles showing along the spine etc. And as others have said - Ember, at just 3 1/2 months younger is half her weight, and they have both been 'brought up' the same lol.
Lovely range of colours you have there. Falcor and Sabai are looking especially dashing though |

Moppet you have made me feel better as I was getting paranoid. Rosie is CB12, 240g and over 3 feet. She is on an adult mouse every 10 days or so. |

It does demonstrate the variation in growth/size very well Just goes to show how different they can be, and still be healthy
My Aphrodite is a CB12, she was 3ft 2 at the beginning of December and over 250g at last weigh in which I think was October. She's growing so fast and is bigger than that now :S Aurora (another CB12, female) has started breeding behaviour, cruising around looking for a mate! She's over 3 ft but not over 300g and definitely not over 3 years old yet! Maybe next year...
They're due a weigh in the next few days, I'm just waiting for them to 'be empty' first . |

No idea how old he is, probably over 5 but could be much more.

Also, we have the same scales lol. Great for the big guys but rubbish for measuring tiny babies o.O |

Its mad how much they vary isn't it! I think Kalypso is going to end up very long like Loki. Funnily enough Ofelia always looks chunky to me but she's the smallest and lightest of the CB10's, doesn't make sense haha. Realised now how small some of mine are, was thinking Kalypso was big for her age but I was wrong!! |

Where did you get your scales from? I need to get a better set for weighing my corns now they're bigger. Having issues balancing the boxes on the kitchen scales :S
I know how you feel Mort13, I thought my Andromeda was small for her age until I posted weights on here and everyone said how freakishly big mine all were haha. Andromeda is still big compared to most :S |

I got the scales from Asda, they are on offer for £8 at the mo I think. £12 in Morrisons!! Its mad isn't it, my CB11's are on the same size food and same feeding routine, as are my CB10's, yet the growth of some is so different to the others! |

What a gorgeous snake collection you've got now Mandy.
And Sabai is absolutely gorgeous. I knew he would be. You've done fantastic with him. I absolutely loved this snake. Drove 500 miles to collect him when he was a Hatchie :-)
Great pics! |
