Hi. This maybe a stupid question but is it normal for corn snakes to be visible 24/7? I've had him 10months and he's always been one to hide under his bedding/water bowl etc and only come out for the odd bit at night.
But for the last 3 days he's been constantly visible sat in the corner lookin out to us

One of mine is always out and about, the only exception being when he's shedding or the 48 hrs after he's been fed. Sounds like you have a nosy snake, I wouldn't complain!! :-) Always worth just double checking your temps ect just to put your mind at rest

I was thinking maybe he's feeling too big for the faun he's in? As I noticed last time he squeezed under his water bowl is was lob sided an was pretty obvious he was there

As a general rule once they are longer than the lenght and width of the daun then they are ready to move up a size. Theres on reason why you can't up grade to a bigger viv, just make sure that it is escape proof and that there is plenty of cover so snakie feels nice and secure.

Just thought I'd drop in to let you (and everyone else) know that there is no such thing as a stupid question.
In fact there is, a stupid question is a question that doesn't get asked.
If anyone has a question, but doesn't want to ask it because they think it may be daft, then ask it.

Although, I think somewhere back through the mists of time, we did decide that the only daft question that's ever been asked is :
"I have an empty viv, what shall I do with it?" That answer is obvious, FILL IT!!

Lol I just wasn't sure people would offer there opinions etc. But thank you! I think he is longer than the length plus width. Il have to measure him soon. I fed him earlier and he alway hides after he's been fed until he's digested. But he's out and being Nosey. I'm not complaining it's just it's soo not like him

Well it seems he is too big for the faun!! I checked on him this morning and panicked thinkin he'd escaped but he was stretched out along the top and he's longer than the back and 1 side of the faun. So hopefully the partner is gona take me to get a spot bulb guard for my 5ft viv I have waiting for him

Me too!! It originally had bearded dragons in but over the years they have died. So I kept it free for the snake. Unfortunately I'm not allowed another snake. It's a def firm no! lol
